I don't know what the European experience of Christmas is nowadays, but half a world away, strings of Christmas light bulbs used to be wired electrically in series, rather than in parallel. So this meant that whenever one bulb went bad, the whole string of lights went out, and it was always a chore to identify the failed lightbulb and replace it.
Somehow I don't think you have to worry about that. If one of these lights goes out, I think you will have plenty of guys volunteering to re-illuminate you!
